About Shiv Puri

Shiv Puri is the Founder and Managing Director of TVF Capital Advisors, an investment management firm that oversees TVF, a concentrated, long-only public equities fund investing across Asia. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Vesta Global Holdings, his Singapore-based family office that invests in listed and private companies, predominantly in the United States.

TVF has a 20-year track record of materially outperforming benchmark indices through a patient, long-term approach.

Shiv launched TVF in 2004, seizing India’s dynamic economic opportunities with a clear conviction:
“Buy great businesses, pay a sensible price, and hold them long enough for compounding to work.”

He complements this philosophy with a focus on understanding the “investment DNA” of a business — the character of its leadership, the culture that drives decision-making, and the organization’s capacity to learn, adapt, and compound value over time.

This approach has enabled TVF to harness the power of compounding and deliver sustained long-term growth. From its beginnings with an initial fund of US$5 million, TVF has grown to manage over 150 times its original size and holds significant, long-term positions in Bajaj Finance, Max Healthcare, and Info Edge — investments it has maintained for over a decade.

In 2008, Shiv lived through two pivotal events — the Global Financial Crisis and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, which he experienced first-hand. These back-to-back shocks profoundly shaped his view of purpose, resilience, and wealth.

An Indian-born Singaporean, he has lived in Singapore for over 16 years. Shiv is deeply committed to strengthening the long-term bridge between Singapore and India, helping global investors navigate India’s growth while fostering enduring cross-border collaboration.

Earlier in his career, Shiv worked at Bain Capital in Boston, Crescendo Ventures in Silicon Valley, and Morgan Stanley in New York. He holds dual degrees in Economics (Wharton) and Systems Engineering (Penn Engineering) and was an Academic All-American in golf.
